Meleah Himber is the outreach program manager for the Center for Bioethics and Humanities.  She has ten years of experience in higher education, including medical school curriculum implementation, curriculum development, outreach, and assessment for public health research interventions.  Meleah got her start in bioethics at the University of Pittsburgh as the Curriculum Developer on a NIH Bioethics Infrastructure grant, Building Trust Between Minorities and Researchers, where she created and evaluated educational programming for both
researchers and racial and ethnic communities to encourage greater collaboration and involvement in public health research with the goal of eliminating health disparities.

Her role at CBH centers on program development, promotion and communications, as well as creating an awareness of CBH and its educational and creative opportunities for all four CU campuses and the communities they serve.  She also works to develop and maintain productive relationships between the Center and a variety of external groups and individuals within the local community and state of Colorado.  A former middle school English Language Arts teacher and film festival organizer, she enjoys representing the humanities side of the Center for Bioethics and Humanities.
