Dr. Rachel Brem, internationally known breast cancer expert, is changing the face of breast cancer through her clinical and advocacy work, her guidance on the BRCA gene mutation and her recently released book, “No Longer Radical,” written to help women evaluate treatment options when medical history puts them at risk for breast cancer.

Her mother’s diagnosis with breast cancer when Rachel was just twelve years old inspired her to dedicate her life to curing breast cancer. Then at age 37, Dr. Brem faced the same diagnosis and used her own fight against and victory over the disease to further empower her work.

This year's theme, Leading Towards Justice, addresses the racial justice reckoning of the past few years combined with the drastically disparate impact of COVID-19 on communities of color and socioeconomically disadvantaged communities has prompted soul-searching in all corners of society — including health care and the potential roles of health care leaders in creating a more just world.

Open to students, faculty, staff and community members. No audition required. The Choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 5:15-6:30pm at the Fulginiti Pavilion. The Orchestra rehearses on Thursdays, from 6:00-7:30pm at ED2S-1102.
