Early in the pandemic\, the Navajo Nation had the highest r ates of COVID-19 in the world. Providing patient care in a rural setting w ith unique cultural and community considerations during the pandemic led t o a renewed commitment to addressing health disparities. In this session\, we will discuss the COVID-19 experience at Northern Navajo Medical Center and how the Indian Health Service (IHS) and Navajo Nation worked together to respond to this crisis. Adapting patterns of care and maximizing cultu ral strengths led to programming which recognized the resilience of the Na vajo people.
